Mike has been playing video games since the 90s, where he cut his teeth on his dad's old ZX Spectrum for a while until he got a Super Nintendo in 1993. A long suffering Evertonian and fan of professional wrestling, Mike counts sports games, wrestling games and platform games amongst his favourite genres. Mike has written for Inside Pulse and Scott's Blog of Doom alongside his work for Gaming Respawn. He has also been published in Fighting Spirit and Mums & Dads magazine. Regular columns from Mike include Retro Respawn (a look at retro games of yore), Wrestle Respawn (features and reviews of wrestling events or storylines) and The Fitzgerald Scale (a look at more contemporary games and general musings on the video game industry).
