UPDATED: No Man’s Sky Has Been Delayed Until August 9th

UPDATE: Hello Games has confirmed that No Man’s Sky will miss its June release date with the game now expected to release in August after a PS Store listing for the game gives a release date of August 9.

Original Story: The new space exploration game No Man’s Sky has reportedly been pushed back from its expected June release date.

Two separate sources told Kotaku that they think it’s been pushed from June to July or August. It is said the expected release date was June 21st.

A reliable Kotaku source was the first to inform them of the delay. The second source was a GameStop employee, who said they received marketing materials today for No Man’s Sky with the original June 21st release date. However, stores were informed that the release date is no longer correct and that they should cover it up with a “Coming Soon” label.

No Man's Sky

No Man’s Sky has been largely hyped up since its reveal in E3. The massive open world space exploration game received a good welcoming at E3 and has since built a strong fan base. Sony and Hello Games have yet to comment on the matter.

Stay Tuned.
