You can now pre-load The Division’s open beta on all platforms

Ubisoft has announced that The Division‘s open beta is now available to pre-load on all platforms meaning that players can begin downloading the beta right now before the beta begins later this week.

Xbox One players will be able to jump into the beta a day earlier than other platforms on February 18 with the beta opening its doors to players on PC and PlayStation 4 a day later on February 19. If you took part in the closed beta last month and still have the client installed, you will only have to download and install a 1.6GB patch. If not however, the open beta client requires a 27 GB install.

The open beta is a clean slate with no progress being carried over from the closed beta meaning all players will start from the beginning again, however there have been a number of changes and improvements made to the game including to the game’s PvP area, the Dark Zone. In addition to that, another wing of your operation center has been unlocked meaning players will now be able to experience two wings of their base rather than just the one seen in the closed beta.

The open beta is due to last for a couple of days with it set to conclude on Sunday, February 21, although Ubisoft may extend this by a day or two depending on server performance and other factors as seen with the closed beta.
