Evidence Suggests Bully 2 in Development

Bully 2

There’s a glimmer of hope now for all fans in waiting as there are even casting calls for a “new unannounced video game title with a leading UK games developer, shooting at Pinewood Studios” which could be hinting at Bully 2.

Now, don’t be getting too excited just yet, we’ve had numerous rumours in the past that a Bully 2 is in the works to no avail. Bully, or Canis Canem Edit in Europe, was a surprise hit and instant classic when it released way back in 2006. However, the success of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption has seemingly led to Bully 2 getting pushed further down the development line, with many coming to the realisation that it may never get released at all.

The casting call is the first clue in a while that these fears could be laid to rest as there are plenty of suggestions that the developer is Rockstar and the new game is Bully 2. The casting call provides certain information about the role: “Mild violence and profanity will be used in scenes with the young performer. The project itself is a thriller/drama and all scenes with the young performer will be handled with sensitivity.”

Other castings calls directly mention “College Professors” which, of course, are needed in a private boarding school where the first Bully was set.

All these seem too coincidental to not be Bully 2, and after Red Dead Redemption II, we have no other Rockstar titles confirmed to be in the works; Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong with its GTA Online element suggesting there’s no rush for Grand Theft Auto 6 just yet, and there hasn’t been anything mentioned of a new L.A. Noire or Max Payne, Rockstar’s other notable titles.

Perhaps this will all be revealed to be something completely unrelated, yet Bully fans are as excited as they’ve ever been that there will be a sequel announced very soon for this beloved title.
