Rockstar Games Officially Announce Red Dead Redemption 2

Two days of agonising torture has finally come to an end, Rockstar Games has finally officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2. Coming to the Xbox One and Playstation 4 in the fall of 2017, the following is a press release from Rockstar’s website.

Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

There is no word as of yet if there will be a PC release, Grand Theft Auto V took nearly two years to get released, and the first Red Dead Redemption has yet to be released on PC.

The poster gives us a clearer look at the characters teased by Rockstar, with the character in the middle looking a lot like John Marston. If it is Marston, then the early rumours of a prequel would be true. A trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on Thursday the 20th October which should show us when the game will take place.
