Has Hitman: Episode 3 Been Delayed? Release Date Coming Next Week

It looks like time is running out for IO Interactive to release Hitman: Episode 3 before the end of the month as the studio has confirmed that it will announce the release date for the third episode, Marrakesh, next week.

IO didn’t say when exactly the release date will be revealed, however. As a result, it looks like the release of Hitman Episode 3 could be delayed until June unless IO Interactive are planning on releasing the next episode within the next week and a half. Episode 2- Sapienza released six weeks after the first episode released, so to remain on track to release Marrakesh this week, they will have to shorten that release cycle considerably.

Last month, IO did state that the monthly release schedule for Hitman episodes were “subject to change” but added that at the time they were still on course to release a new episode each month, including Marrakesh.

IO did announce though that the game’s second Elusive Target will be available next Friday, May 27th and will feature a “Congressman on a visit to sunny Sapienza”. As you’d expect, you need to own Episode 2 to be able to have a chance at taking down the Elusive Target. Like last time, you’ll only have one chance to take him out.
