Imposters Rejoice as Among Us Comes to Nintendo Switch

After proving itself hugely successful on mobile and PC, Innersloth’s cross platform, online multiplayer game Among Us has hit the Nintendo eShop today.

If you’ve been living under a rock and somehow haven’t heard of Among Us, the premise is simple enough: A group of up to ten players form the crew of a spaceship and are required to complete a series of tasks to win the game. This is complicated by the inclusion of Imposters who are hell-bent on sabotaging the ship and killing off the crew as discreetly as possible.

Players are then required to vote on who they believe to be the Imposters and can win by either fully filling the task bar or successfully voting out the imposters.

Among Us was initially released in 2018 but has seen a surge in popularity thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic forcing us into lockdown for extended periods of time. Being unable to meet face-to-face, many of us resorted to online social interaction, and Among Us with its cross platform multiplayer, which brought together PC and mobile players, was the perfect go-to game.

Now that it is available on Nintendo Switch, Among Us is even more accessible, providing a nice compromise for those who want more portability than the PC version with better controls than the mobile version.

It should be noted that a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for online play.

Among Us is now available on the Nintendo eShop for £3.89.
