Warhammer: Vermintide II 5th Anniversary Content Announced

The developers behind rat-slaughtering simulators Warhammer: The End Times- Vermintide and Warhammer: Vermintide II, have announced some brand-new content to celebrate the original game’s 5th-year anniversary. The content includes a free hat for all gamers, some new missions, and even an extra special surprise if the community manages to kill enough rats before November 1st.

“The years have flown by. We are humbled, grateful, overjoyed and thankful to each and everyone of our players. Thank you for everything, and here’s to the coming years!”

“In order to celebrate 5-Years of the Ubersreik 5’s rat extermination we are inviting you to 5 days filled with activities. Between October 21 – 25 you can join the celebrations inside and outside of the Vermintide universe, on all platforms!”

If kills in Warhammer: Vermintide II hit 555,555,555 by November 1st, then the community will get two triple-XP weekends in a row! Even if that goal is missed, a consolation prize of 1 triple-XP weekend will be given out if the total hits 300,000,005 kills instead.

Vermintide 2 - Shark Hat
The new hat commemorates the name of the developers themselves, Fat Shark.

As well as trying to murder as many rats as possible, Warhammer: Vermintide II players will receive a shark-related hat if they log into the game and complete one mission between October 21st and October 25th. During that same time frame, the special mission “A Quiet Drink” will also be making a comeback for all platforms.

The final special announcement includes a big discount on cosmetic bundles. These bundles represent a massive saving on special cosmetic items, so if you’re into getting some shiny baubles for your rat-slayers, now is the time to do it!

If you want to catch up with the Fat Shark team, you can do that too. Just check out their special anniversary live stream. On October 23rd at 4 pm CET, a couple of the team members for the Vermintide series will be taking a look at the game’s history, as well as potentially sharing some brand-spanking-new info about the future of the games!
