Minecraft on PC has sold over 20 million copies

Mojang has announced that Minecraft has sold over 20 million copies on PC since the games release.

Having revealed the news on Twitter, Mojang’s business developer Daniel Kaplan stated, “20 million copies of Minecraft PC sold. That is crazy. Thanks everyone for supporting us <3 and thanks for sticking with us for so long!” However despite the success of Minecraft on PC after reaching this latest landmark, the Minecraft: Pocket Edition, which is available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone, has actually sold over 10 million copies more, shifting 30 million+ copies as of January 2015. The PC version was also eclipsed by the console editions of Minecraft back in June 2014 and is therefore the lowest selling version of the game. Source: Twitter
