Hitman beta to begin in February on PS4 and PC

The closed beta for Hitman will begin in February on PS4 and PC, however the beta will not be available on Xbox One, IO Interactive has announced.

On PlayStation 4, the beta will start on February 12, 2016 with the beta heading to PC a week later on February 19, 2016. It isn’t yet clear how long the beta will last for, however those who have pre-ordered their copy of Hitman are guaranteed to receive access to the beta.

The beta takes place twenty years in the past and is set at a top secret ICA recruitment and training facility. As a result, it is said to offer an “extremely unique mission” as it revolves around how Agent 47 was recruited into the ICA.

When the game releases, IO have also announced that PS4 players will receive exclusive content in the form of contracts named “The Sarajevo Six”. These contracts will see Agent 47 travel across the world in pursuit of six former members of CICADE, a paramilitary unit. These contracts will take players to France, Italy, Morocco, Thailand,United States and Japan.

Hitman is available digitally on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2016.
