Tekken 7 Season 2 Revealed Featuring The Walking Dead’s Negan

The Tekken 7 Season 2 content was revealed at the popular fighting game tournament EVO 2018 yesterday in Las Vegas. Series director of the 3D fighting franchise Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray announced the new season and teased 6 new playable characters, 3 of which were unveiled to the world via the trailer below:

Negan from AMC’s The Walking Dead will join the roster as a special guest fighter. The primary antagonist in the recent seasons of the popular TV series will arrive with Lucille, his barbed-wire baseball bat which he uses to brutalise his victims.

The two other characters to be introduced to Tekken 7 are Anna Williams and Lei Wulong. Anna is an Irish assassin and trained martial artist, and she is the younger sister to Nina Williams. She made her debut to the franchise in the very first Tekken game and has appeared in almost every subsequent title in the series.

Lei is a police officer from Hong Kong and producers Bandai Namco’s tribute to Jackie Chan. The character has been a fan favourite ever since he appeared in Tekken 2 in 1995. His fighting style is a combination of the Five Animals Form and Drunken Boxing.

The cost of the Season 2 pass is unknown now, but it’s expected that all characters will be available to buy individually as the ones in the first season of DLC. This included Fatal Fury character Geese Howard and Noctis from Final Fantasy XV, plus an additional game mode, Tekken Bowl.

Tekken 7 is 3D fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco. It’s the 9th instalment in the Tekken series and the first entry to use the Unreal Engine. The title had a limited release in Japanese arcades in 2015, followed by the updated version, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, in 2016.

Tekken 7 released worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in June 2017.
