BioWare’s Anthem Gets a Release Date

BioWare’s Anthem has a release date. After giving more details and showing off an impressive demo, EA announced that Anthem will be coming to PS4, Xbox and PC on February 22nd, 2019.

BioWare’s also said that the game will include microtransactions (booo!) but only for cosmetic items. There will be no loot boxes and no “pay to power”. They emphasised on how you will be able to customise your Javelin (Iron Man-like armour) from its looks to its loadouts.

There will be 4 different armour classes which you won’t be tied down to, so you can change your armour before any mission. You have the Ranger, which is a mixed bag of armour and will be the most balanced. Then we have the Colossus, a tank armour that is slow but extremely powerful. From tanks to stealth, you then have the Storm, through which you’ll be able to cloak yourself to take your enemies by surprise. Finally, with the Interceptor, a speedy, nimble assassin-like armour.

The game will be a “shared” world game, similar to Destiny. While you can play missions by yourself, you can also go out with a squad up to four players to take on the Dominion, Anthem’s main enemies.
