Fallout 76: Bethesda Goes in a Completely Different Direction with the Series

Aside from the teaser trailer for Fallout 76, we have some details on what this new game is.  According to an article on Kotaku, Fallout 76 is going to be an online survival game. This will be the first time that a Fallout game will have any kind of multiplayer component. This game was heavily inspired by games like DayZ and Rust.

Fallout 76 originally was intended to be a part of Fallout 4 while Bethesda were trying to envision what a Fallout multiplayer game would look like. Eventually, it turned into its own game. Fallout 76 has been said to be in development for about six years, and these six years have been spent polishing the game.

In the trailer, the game shows Vault 76 which, in the Fallout mythos, has been discussed a couple of times. Seeing the success that Fallout Shelter had back in 2015, it wouldn’t be that hard to imagine that Bethesda will have the vault itself be a pretty important part of the game.

Other than bit of news from other publications, there is not that much to talk about Bethesda’s new title except for the rumor that Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas will have some kind of anniversary edition released later on. For more on Fallout 76, we’ll have to wait until Bethesda’s E3 conference on Sunday June 10th.
