We Happy Few Has Been Delayed Until Summer 2018

The full release of survival game We Happy Few has been delayed until Summer 2018, developer Compulsion Games has announced in an update video.

We Happy Few was due to come out of Early Access and launch as a full release in April 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game will now miss this launch window and will instead be fully released this summer.

According to Compulsion Games, they have delayed We Happy Few to give themselves more time to improve the first section of the game which they feel doesn’t ‘live up to those [very funny, super weird] moments’ that we expect from the game.

Speaking about the reason for pushing back the release of We Happy Few, Producer Sam Abbot said, “The game didn’t start as well as it should. So we went back to the drawing board and made a couple of big decisions: we brought forward a number of story moments, to get into the action faster, and also rebuilt the whole first island for Arthur.”

We Happy Few first released on PC in July 2016 as an Early Access title as well as on Xbox One via its Game Preview program.
