Battlefield 1 Will Be Free-to-Play on Xbox One This Weekend

Battlefield 1 will be free-to-play on Xbox One this weekend through Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Days, Microsoft has announced.

As expected, to be able to give Battlefield 1 a try, Xbox One owners will need to have an Xbox Live Gold membership. The free weekend kicks off on Friday, September 22nd and will run until Sunday September 24th.

To access Battlefield 1 during this time, you’ll have to go to the Xbox Live Gold Member section where you’ll see the option to install Battlefield 1. Alternatively, you’ll be able to download the game directly from the Battlefield 1 Xbox Store page.

Microsoft are also offering a tasty 40% discount on Battlefield 1 from September 19th to September 25th. Battlefield 1: Revolution is available at 40% off and includes the base game and the Premium Pass which grants you access to four DLCs: They Shall Not Pass, In the Name of the Tsar, Apocalypse and Turning Tides. If you already own Battlefield 1, you can grab the Premium Pass separately, which is also discounted by 40%.

If you decide to pick up the full copy of Battlefield 1 when the trial ends, all of your progress, achievements and saved data will carry over to the full game.
