Doom and Wolfenstein Are Coming to Switch

Nintendo have just announced that Doom and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are coming to the Nintendo Switch.

During today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, we got the out-of-nowhere announcement that Doom and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are headed to Nintendo’s console. It’s surprising as there hasn’t been a ton of Mature-rated content released on the platform to date, a category that Doom comfortably fits into with its gruesome violence.

Doom came out last year and was well received apart from its multiplayer, which has been updated since its release. Developers Bethesda decided this year to make its DLC free for all its players. The Switch version of Doom will arrive sometime this winter, although no further specifics were shared about a release date or content additions.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is due out October 27th for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and the Switch version will be released some time next year.

It’s great to see developer Bethesda really getting behind Nintendo’s newest console, with Skyrim coming out this year, and now Doom and Wolfenstein, what else could Bethesda be bringing to the console in the future?
