Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has enjoyed great success since releasing on the PlayStation 4. The remaster of the hugely popular franchise has certainly been well received by both critics and gamers alike, at least on Sony’s PS4. However, it looks like there may be a chance that Xbox One gamers may also be able enjoy the Crash remaster before too long.
On the official Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy website, there’s a hidden option box that can be viewed that allows players to select a platform of their choice. When you head to the Buy Now page, you’ll be asked to select the country of your choice. After doing this, as noted by GameRant, you have to go into your browser settings and enable the “display hidden content box”. Once this is done, you’ll see two new options available. If you’re computer savvy and know your way around a browser, you may even be able to see it for yourself.
The first one allows players to select a platform of their choice. Right now, you can only see PlayStation 4 as a platform, but as there is a platform selector in place, it could mean that Xbox One gamers may soon be able to play the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The other option that appears lets you select between different versions of the game. The Standard Edition is the only one available, but again, it looks as if more editions could be on their way.
This isn’t the first piece of evidence though to suggest that an Xbox One version could be on its way. Kara Zisa, an artist for developer Vicarious Visions, uploaded footage of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy that showed the controls onscreen being mapped to an Xbox One controller, not a PS4 one. Zisa also showed the save game screen which displayed an image of the old PlayStation memory card but again seemed to show Xbox One controller buttons.
So far, Activision and Vicarious Visions have remained tight-lipped with regards to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy coming to Xbox One; however, it doesn’t seem totally out of the question. There could certainly be some truth to it. And with the game performing so well on PlayStation 4, there’s no doubt that Activision would love to have the chance to cash in on the franchise even further by releasing the remaster onto Xbox One where it is almost certain to be a hit.
