Nintendo’s Amiibo figures have proved to be extremely popular with 7 million of the figurines having been sold in the US since November, Nintendo has revealed in a report published by The NPD Group.
As of may, Nintendo announced that it had shipped 10.5 million Amiibo figures worldwide, with two thirds of those being in the US and Canada alone.
In addition to excellent Amiibo sales, Nintendo also revealed that sales for the 3DS handheld line were up by 30% this year. Splatoon, which has been a huge hit since it released, has also performed extremely well in the US, selling over 600,000 copies.
