Modern Warfare Remastered Listing Appears on Windows Store

Activision have reiterated time and time again that Modern Warfare Remastered will not be sold separately and can only be obtained by purchasing the digital deluxe edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. As expected, that’s left fans of the Modern Warfare series disappointed.

However, a listing for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered has been spotted on the Windows Store, giving a glimmer of hope that the title may be offered separately further down the line.

It’s important not to read into this too much at the moment though, as a listing for Modern Warfare Remastered appeared on the Xbox Store and is there to provide information for the game, despite it not being sold separately. However, the Xbox Store listing states that the game is only available as part of a bundle, whereas the Windows Store listing makes no such reference but does add that it is included in the digital legacy and digital deluxe editions of Infinite Warfare.

We wouldn’t be surprised to see Modern Warfare Remastered sold separately further down the line, however, especially after initial sales of Infinite Warfare have died down and Activision look towards the next Call of Duty. After all, there will be plenty of people who will avoid picking up Infinite Warfare just to play Modern Warfare due to the price of the digital deluxe edition.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches worldwide on November 4th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Will you be purchasing Infinite Warfare just to play Modern Warfare Remastered? Or are you going to wait and hope that it gets sold separately in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
