Leaked images from the latest issue of CoroCoro, a Japanese manga magazine, surfaced online revealing two new Pokemon that will be available in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Both games will launch later this year with a release date of November 18th.
The first Pokemon revealed is Nekkoala, and is a normal-type Pokemon that very much resembles a koala. According to Serebii, Nekkoala has the ability Definite Sleep that prevents it being afflicted with a status other than sleep.
The other Pokemon revealed is Iwanko, a rock-type puppy Pokemon that will definitely gain an early slot in my team. Interestingly enough, many fans were able to make out Iwanko in the Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer that was showcased last month.
Keep in mind that names are pending English translation, so we will just have to wait to see if their names are changed.
It is great to see new information about the new Pokemon games before E3, but Nintendo already announced that it will be live-streaming some actual gameplay from the two titles, so hopefully there will also be some new announcements. Keep checking in at Gaming Respawn during E3, for all news related to Pokemon and to learn about any other video game announcements.
