Details surrounding Mass Effect: Andromeda have been fairly hard to come by with EA revealing only the smallest of details since they announced the game at last year’s E3. We know that the game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2017 and will be a sequel to Mass Effect 3.
However gameplay footage of Mass Effect: Andromeda has been leaked online with NeoGAF user Taker34 claiming that he found the footage on a “website of a certain developer who is currently working on Andromeda.”
The leaked footage shows the player using a jetpack as well as giving us a glimpse of what the game looks like, amongst other things. However renowned NeoGAF source Shinobi has stated that the footage that has been leaked is from an old build of Andromeda from 2014, saying that the game “doesn’t look like this now.” Therefore it is safe to assume that when Mass Effect: Andromeda launches next year it will look a lot better and more polished than the leaked footage shows.
As expected, the original YouTube video was quickly taken down by EA however the leaked footage keeps reappearing on other channels. We have embeded a YouTube video below of the footage but as it seems like only a matter of time before that also gets taken down, the footage has also been made into gifs which are much harder for EA to get rid of. You can also go to this link for the full footage which is just under one minute long.
