Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 will be next Call of Duty game, according to report

Call of Duty is a franchise that isn’t going anyway anywhere time soon and according to reports, we already know what the next game in the Call of Duty franchise will be. The next Call of Duty title which will release this November will be Call of Duty: Ghosts 2.

According to Fraghero, they have been able to confirm from multiple sources, including a gaming industry executive, that the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise is going to be a follow up to Ghosts. They note that Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 is being developed by Infinity Ward and will be a direct sequel to 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts by carrying on the plot, although exact details are still rather sketchy with regards to the game’s plot and gameplay mechanics.

However Ghosts 2 will feature a “tremendous” visual overhaul and will look much better than previous Call of Duty games, especially Ghosts. In addition to that, the German Shepherd named Riley is set to make a return and is said to be playable. Whether that means you’ll be able to do similar activities with him like in Ghosts or if he will feature more predominantly as a playable character is not clear.

The report also states that an official announcement by Activision isn’t far away with an official reveal coming before this year’s E3 where the game will be showed off to the public.

As expected, Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One and PC in November. It seems that last-gen consoles have finally been dropped.
