Xbox One Users Spend More Time Gaming than PS4 Users

A recent survey of 17,990 console users by the GlobalWebIndex has revealed that Xbox One owners spend more time playing games on their console than those on any other console platform, including PlayStation 4 users.

While current-gen systems surpass the two hour mark on average, when all platforms are taken into account, users around the world spend an average of 51 minutes gaming on consoles a day according to the survey.

On average owners of the Xbox One spent just short of 2 1⁄2 hours a day playing games on their console. PlayStation 4 owners, however, only spent an average of 2 1⁄4  hours a day gaming, and as a result saw the PS4 fall behind the Xbox One and Nintendo’s Wii U. Nintendo Wii U users only spent a minute less gaming than Xbox One users, though.

Across all platforms, users around the world spend an average of 51 minutes gaming on consoles a day, according to the survey.

When it came to last-gen consoles, the Xbox 360 and PS3 could barely be separated with gamers spending 1 hour & 57 minutes and 1 hour & 55 minutes gaming, respectively. The Wii came in at last place with an average of just over 1 1⁄2 hours of gaming time.
