Just Cause 4 Leaked via Steam Advert

Just Cause 4 has seemingly been leaked via an advert on Steam. This is a major leak that leads us to believe that an announcement is on the cards at E3 or sooner.

The leak came from an advert on Valve’s digital distribution platform, Steam. It features the Just Cause 4 logo with an image of the main character from the series, Rico Rodriguez, beneath a stormy sky and the message urging Steam users to ”Pre-Purchase Now”. It was removed shortly after, and the Just Cause developers, Avalanche Studios, have yet to comment on the leak.

Just Cause is an action-adventure series created and developed by Avalanche Studios. The first entry, Just Cause, released in 2006, and there have been two instalments since then: Just Cause 2 and Just Cause 3. The games take place in tropical open world environments. Each title has a storyline that features different factions fighting for control over small nations. The core gameplay combines elements of third-person shooters with driving games.

Avalanche Studios are currently working on several other projects, including Rage 2, which is being developed alongside id Software. It’s the second title in the the post-apocalyptic first-person shooter franchise. Avalanche have also just announced Generation Zero, a nostalgic open-world action game set in Sweden. Watch the announcement trailer here.

Just Cause 4 will likely be available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We can expect the unannounced title to be revealed at E3, which is now just around the corner. It begins next week on the 12th of June and wraps up on the 14th.
