Watch Dogs 2 Will “Surprise Players” With Its New Tone, Says Ubisoft

Watch Dogs 2 will “surprise players” with its new tone and innovative gameplay possibilities, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

Speaking at Ubisoft’s Financial Report last night, Yves Guillemot also said that Watch Dogs 2 will be the publisher’s “biggest title” of its current financial year. He added that the game has the potential to be one of “Ubisoft’s best-selling games of all time” and will build on the success of the first Watch Dogs which released in 2014.

“Our biggest title will be Watch Dogs, which will build on the success of the first game. It has been one of Ubisoft’s best selling games of all times,” said Yves Guillemot. “The game will once again surprise players with a new tone and innovative hacking gameplay possibilities.”

“It has the potential to be one of Ubisoft’s best-selling games of all time,” he added. “The game will once again surprise players with a new tone and with innovative hacking gameplay possibilities. We can’t wait to show your more.”

There is no release date for Watch Dogs 2, but it is likely to release in October or November, filling the hole left by Assassin’s Creed which has taken a break this year. More details about the game will be revealed at E3 next month, however, and the company will also be very busy showcasing several titles, including a new IP, as well as giving release dates for games such as For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
