Star Wars Battlefront has shipped more than 13 million units

Star Wars Battlefront has shipped more than 13 million units since the game launched back in November, EA has announced during its financial call last night.

Out of those 13 million units which have been shipped, 1 million of those have come bundled with the limited edition PlayStation 4 Star Wars Battlefront console. However sales of Star Wars Battlefront have also exceeded EA’s expectations, with the publisher originally only expecting to sell between 9-10 million units by the end of March 2016.

However it hasn’t been revealed how many of those 13 million units have actually been sold to consumers, although the EA is said to be “very comfortable” with the amount of copies being bought by consumers.

“We actually had a very strong sell-through during [Q3] as well as sell-in and there are some accounts obviously that are replenishing in there, as they get through their January timeframe,” stated CFO Blake Jorgensen. “We’re very comfortable with where the channel inventory is now.”
