The Blackout beta will be available to everyone who has pre-ordered a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Users will receive a code granting them access to the beta.
As of now, not much is known about what we can actually expect from Blackout. Treyarch has revealed that there will be three modes available for players to choose from though. These are Solos, Duos and Quads (four-player teams). Pretty standard for a battle royale mode then. Given that it’s a battle royale mode, it won’t be too unfamiliar to most gamers; however, it will be interesting to see what Treyarch’s spin on the genre is and how well the game mode can adapt itself to the Call of Duty series.
It seems likely that as we get closer to September 10th, Activision and Treyarch will begin revealing more information about the Blackout game mode itself, which will hopefully include a gameplay trailer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 12th.
