Bethesda today released a new trailer for Fallout 4’s first piece of DLC, Automatron. Check it out below.
In Automatron, the mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. To tackle this menace, you need to hunt down these metal malcontents and harvest their parts in order to build and mod your own custom robot companions. In typical Fallout style, you’ll have the choice of hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons such as the all-new lightning chain gun, and even customizing their paint schemes and deciding on their voices! Essentially, you’ll be making robots and who doesn’t want to make robots!
While Automatron is the first add-on released for Fallout 4, it won’t be the last, with Bethesda teasing further expansions in April and May. First gamers will get the opportunity to expand their settlements with Wasteland Workshop, before Bethesda takes gamers beyond the Commonwealth to Maine for Far Harbor, which the developers are breathlessly billing as the largest landmass they’ve ever created for post-release content. Further content is promised throughout 2016, with avid Fallout fanatics advised to stay turned for info on free updates like Survival mode and the Creation Kit. The last of these is particularly exciting as it will allow players to share and play them across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
