It appears that Naughty Dog are big fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise after a piece of artwork from Black Flag was found in the latest story trailer released for Uncharted 4.
In the story trailer, Nathan Drake looks away from Elena and stares at a piece of artwork above his fireplace. That piece of artwork looks pretty much identical to a piece of concept art from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
One of the first people to spot it was none other than Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Head of Content, Azaïzia Aymar, who tweeted about the incident.
Woooow Uncharted 4 using one of ACIV artwork in their trailer… I get the “thief” title now! https://t.co/rholpuvw9I lol at 1:36

Here is the image from the trailer as well as the original piece of concept art. Apart from the figure in the concept art being removed from the picture in the trailer, both pieces of art look identical.
However it wasn’t only Azaïzia Aymar who tweeted about the artwork with Ubisoft Montreal’s Creative Director Alex Hutchinson taking a dig at Naughty Dog for using their artwork in the trailer.
@GameAnim Doing your own concept art is twice the work? 😉 pic.twitter.com/sO7ZAQ6sQ1

So far both Naughty Dog and Ubisoft have refused to comment officially on the incident. Still, it’s a pretty neat easter egg nonetheless.
