The Three Xbox Games That Are Free This Weekend

Three action-packed games are free to play for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

Leading the charge is Blizzard Entertainment’s massively popular multiplayer FPS, Overwatch. This choice of game may be a sign of the beginning of the end of run as anticipation grows for the sequel, whenever that may come.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is most definitely not one of the best open-world games we’ve ever played. It’s rough around the edges –  despite this updated Re-Elected release. And the franchise’s story and gameplay loop are an acquired taste. However, there is no denying that it is an absolute bombastic game to play for the shear fun factor.

Warhammer: Vermintide II is also free-to-play and remains one of the better Warhammer games available. Fatshark’s first-person actioner shines through its accomplished level design, varied characters, and satisfying moment-to-moment gameplay.

Although these are not the most tantalising selections, they’re free at the end of the day.

General Housekeeping

As always, any progress made and achievements earned will carry over to purchased copies.

All three games are now free to play on all current and last-generation Xbox consoles until midnight on Sunday, June 27th, 2021.
