Husband and Wife Combine Their Talents for Joyful New Game Oddfauna: Secret of the Terrabeast

Standout new indie game Oddfauna: Secret of the Terrabeast continues to break through stretch goals and unlock tons of new game features on Kickstarter. On April 6th, 2021, this sandbox open-world title launched on Kickstarter and reached its initial funding goal of $35,000 in just 3 hours. In the following hours of the day, the game nearly doubled that amount with many high level rewards going quickly.

This first day success was fueled by an already dedicated and enthusiastic fanbase on Instagram, Twitter, and Discord. Notably, a Reddit post from developer Cliff Mitchell on April 6th, which introduced the game, led curious redditors to the Kickstarter. The post collected nearly 65K upvotes and reached the top of the Gaming subreddit and the front page of Reddit on launch day.

The Oddfauna: Secret of the Terrabeast Kickstarter will continue to run through May 6th, 2021. A number of stretch goals have now been unlocked, including character customization, new biomes, new modes of transportation, and a soundtrack by famed Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta. Many more stretch goals have been announced and hinted at, such as flying mounts, pets, co-op, and multiplayer.

In Oddfauna: Secret of the Terrabeast, players will help Astor farm, craft and shape the world as they uncover the secret of the Terrabeast! Players take control of the multi-talented Astor. In this mysterious world, Astor will encounter all manner of strange creatures as they terraform the landscape and work together to survive.

Oddfauna: Secret of the Terrabeast will become available on PC and Nintendo Switch, release date TBC.
