Free Games on Xbox Live Gold This Month Announced

Games with gold

July could be fun…

After my recent article on the free games for PS Plus this month, it seems only fair that I do the same for Xbox Live Gold.

So, let’s take a look. First up is WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship (a bit of a mouthful). The normal retail price is £32.89 on Amazon if you get it pristine. With a 90% ‘liked by’ rating, this is a pretty solid title to start with. WRC is available from the 1st to the 31st July 2020.

Breaking out on the gold court is Dunk Lords (not drunk lords). This is a 2-on-2 beat ’em up. With over 20 characters to choose from and numerous combos, slam dunks and hazard filled courts, this could almost be an EA Sports Mortal Kombat (finish him)! This title has got a rating of 8/10 on Steam. The game retails at £19 new and is available for free from July 15th to August 16th.

From July 1st, for those that missed it the first time around, you can pick up a copy of Saints Row 2. This classic Xbox 360 game was really good at the time with 7/10 on Steam and a gamer ‘like’ of 96%.

Finally, and also an Xbox 360 title, is jUjU, which is available from July 16th to July 31st. This little platformer takes me back to the days of games like Super Mario, Altered Beast and Sonic the Hedgehog. Easy to play and colourful, for anyone that is a fan of the genre, this is must-have in your retro platform arsenal.
