Ubisoft has revealed its latest open-world action game in the form of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Wildlands is not only described as the largest open-world game ever developed by Ubisoft, but it also is a first in the Ghost Recon series by taking place in a completely open-world environment.
The game is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC by Ubisoft Paris, alongside five other studios and has been in development for more than three years.
In the gameplay preview shown at E3, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a mix between the typical Ghost Recon gameplay and the open-world, adventure style of the Far Cry series. The game takes place in Bolivia, South America and will allow players to play alone or co-op allowing for you to team up with three other players in the open-world. Players can explore the world via sea, air and land with a wide range of different vehicles on offer.
No release date was mentioned, however we don’t expect to see Ghost Recon: Wildlands until at least 2017.
