Version 4.0.0 became available on 08/30/19 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This includes game balance adjustments, a tourney mode, a very easy difficulty for World of Light, and the addition of the fighter Hero, as well as some other additions that can be viewed here.
Hero was showcased by the game’s director, Masahiro Sakurai, that same morning. Sakurai detailed the character’s moveset and accompanying stage with the addition of some new Mii Fighter costumes and game additions.
