Yesterday, Microsoft revealed that all of its holiday exclusives had sold over 1 million copies each, although there was some confusion whether or not that figure was for units shipped or copies actually sold.
However Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg took to Twitter to confirm that the 1 million copies figure which was quoted was for sell-through, adding that it was a “Big December” for Microsoft. So not only did Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition sell over 1 million copies each, Greenberg also revealed that the figure for Rise of the Tomb Raider was “well over” 1 million units sold, suggesting that Tomb Raider performed well over the holiday season despite facing off against titles such as Fallout 4, Just Cause 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
@PNF4LYFE It is sell-through and well over 1M units, big December!

Rise of the Tomb Raider is only currently available on Xbox One however having launched exclusively on Microsoft’s console before any other platform. The game is expected to release on PC later this month though, with a PS4 release coming later on in 2016.
