New Updated Nintendo Switch Model Extends Battery Life

The Nintendo Switch is getting a minor update with a longer battery life. The newer model has a battery life of about 4.5-9.0 hours compared with what we have now, 2.5-6.5 hours. It appears that this model will be available mid-August in the US and not until September for the UK (According to Eurogamer). There will be no price difference between the previous Nintendo Switch model.

People are theorizing that the newer model is running on the most recent Tegra X1 chip. This may also be the ‘more powerful’ Switch that was rumored back with the Switch Lite. There is still no word on if this model will have any performance differences.
