During Nintendo Direct, Romero Games and Paradox Interactive took to the stage to announce their latest strategy game Empire of Sin.
Set in Chicago during the 1920s, Empire of Sin will see players take control of one of 14 different crime bosses as you go about building your very own criminal empire. Players will have to ‘outsmart, out-gun and outlast their opponents’ if they’re going to become the most powerful criminal family in Chicago.
Empire of Sin is also described as being character-driven, meaning there’s a lot more than simply fighting other gangs. 1920s Chicago contains a full cast of living, breathing characters whom players can interact with. Each character has their own life that will influence how they respond to your actions or inactions.
There are also a lot of features that will be familiar to fans of Paradox games; however, unlike their other strategy games, Empire of Sin will feature turn-based combat that puts you right at the heart of the action. You’ll get to see the gunfights play out right in front of your eyes.
Empire of Sin will be releasing on PC as well as PlayStation, Xbox and Switch consoles sometime in 2020.
