Steam summer sale 2015 begins

Yesterday Steam started its summer sale, launching with a new lineup of offers. The sale will run from June 11th to June 21st and features a new addition to the formula, in the way of a game, replacing the community voting system used for previous sales.

The new game allows users to team up and unlock special discounts by taking part in fighting a group of monsters together and unlocking the Steam badge for this sale.

Notable discounts include the Metro Redux bundle with a 80% discount (now £6.79). XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack for £4.99 (previously £24.99) and Homeworld Remastered for £10.79 (from £26.99). GTA 5 is also on sale with a 25% discount, however it requires you to also buy a ‘Shark Cash Card’, which grants the user currency in GTA Online. It is currently on sale for £39.98.

Check out the sale on Steam’s homepage here.
