XCOM 2 arriving on PC in November – Check out the reveal trailer

XCOM 2 will be arriving on PC exclusively this November, 2K and developer Firaxis have announced. The game will also be available on Mac and Linux however no release date has been stated for these platforms as of yet. XCOM 2 won’t be launching on consoles though.

The game, which is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown will take players 20 years into the future where humanity has lost the war against alien invaders who have now established a new world order. Players must take back control of the earth and free mankind from the clutches of aliens. Whereas previously players were the defensive force, XCOM 2 reverses the roles with the humans now the invading force in an attempt to reclaim lost land.

XCOM 2 will introduce lots of new gameplay features to the game including procedurally-generated levels as well as give updated soldier classes, more soldier customisation, a greater variety of alien types and evolved combat.

XCOM 2 will introduce gameplay features such as procedurally-generated levels, which promises to make each experience unique to the player. There will also be five updated soldier classes, increased soldier customisation, more alien types and evolved combat. Modding support will also be available to those wishing to mod the game.
