Earlier today, Kotaku‘s Jason Schreier wrote an article on Mafia III. It’s mostly about how developer Hangar 13 were unsatisfied with how the game was received and how they felt they lost their way during development. But during his time at Hangar 13, Schreier learned that next door a “top-secret” 2K studio was hard at work on the next entry in the BioShock franchise.
The project is called Parkside, and if anyone at Hangar 13 asked about their neighbors’ project, they would say “Oh, we can’t really talk about it”.
Among other details I learned while reporting this story: Right next to Hangar 13, a top-secret 2K studio is now working on a top-secret new BioShock game.

The last new entry in the BioShock franchise was Bioshock: Infinite in 2013.
2K has not officially announced this project, but Take-Two interactive has let fans know that BioShock is a “permanent franchise“.
Don’t expect to see Parkside at E3 this year as it’s said that the project is “not ready for a lot of people”.
Take a look back into the past when BioShock was first announced. My, how far we've come in 10 years. #BioShock10 pic.twitter.com/SDdWa38X54
