Fornite: Battle Royale Comes to Mobile Devices

The massively popular and successful Fortnite: Battle Royale is being brought to iOS and Android devices. Epic are conducting a test on iOS devices before the game is officially launched, and sign-ups are now open on Epic’s official website to be placed on the iOS waiting list.

An internet connection and an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, iPad Pro, or a newer Apple device with iOS 11 are required in order to play the game.

Here’s the message you receive once you’ve signed up:

“We’ll send you an invite email when you can play. The email will contain a link download the game from the app store. If you don’t receive an invite right away, don’t worry. We’ll be adding new players regularly over the coming months. Thanks for your patience!”

The mobile version of Fortnite: Battle Royale will be the same 100-player experience currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC as well as “same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates.” It will be interesting to see how the mobile version will stand up to its more powerful opponents in terms of visuals and performance and also how the touchscreen controls will compare with the traditional controller or mouse and keyboard.
