Wolfenstein II’s First DLC Now Available: The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe

Bethesda Softworks has released the first piece of DLC for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Accompanying the DLC’s release is a trailer, which serves to introduce the main character of the DLC.

The trailer introduces us to Joseph Stallion, an ex-football player who decides to take it upon himself to punt the Nazi forces out the ruins of Chicago by himself. The DLC will see him go through a number of scenarios, including taking the fight up to space itself. The DLC allows the player to make use of the shoulder-tackle attack that was available in the main campaign, befitting of an American football player, though this one does make guys explode instead of fall over.

The DLC comes at the cost of $9.99 (or your regional equivalent) and comes as part of the $24.99 season pass. Early reports from the DLC’s Steam page put the DLC at somewhere around two hours in length.

Like the other pieces of the planned DLC in the “Freedom Chronicles,” the events of the DLC are actually set within an in-universe comic book and thus have no bearing on the actual events of the game.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’s main game came out in 27th October 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version set to come out in 2018. The second piece of DLC, “The Diaries of Agent Silent Death”, will be releasing in January, with the third and final piece, “The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins”, dropping sometime in March of next year.
