If you’re looking to grab Assassin’s Creed: Origins when it launches later this month, you may want to make some room for it as it’s a big boy!
Thanks to the game’s listing on the Xbox Store, the download size for Assassin’s Creed: Origins has been revealed, and it looks like you’ll need around 42.3 GB in order to download and install the title. As a result of the game’s large file size, it may take some time to download for those gamers who purchase the game digitally. Hopefully, Ubisoft will allow Origins to be pre-loaded though ahead of release to compensate for the large size.
While the size of Assassin’s Creed: Origins isn’t all that surprising in this day and age, it is nonetheless frustrating for gamers who have to deal with the limited download speed of consoles. Not only that, but those who purchase a physical copy of the game may also be in for a bit of a wait when updates are needed.
Fingers crossed the day one patch won’t be anywhere near the size of Forza Motorsport 7’s patch, which is a reported 50 GB.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 27th.
