The sequel of EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront has accidentally given its first look with a leaked in-game teaser. The video shows cinematic sequences of Galactic Empire-era Stormtrooper during the aftermath of Battle of Endor and the destruction of Death Star II, which is speculated to be a part of the game’s single-player campaign. The campaign may also feature the events between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, presumably depictions of the origin and rise of First Order.
The teaser also introduces a portion of multiplayer experience in Battlefront II, featuring various characters from previous movies in the Star Wars series. This includes first appearances of heroes from the Prequel Trilogy (such as Darth Maul and Clone-era Yoda) and the Sequel Trilogy (Rey and Kylo Ren). Based on the images shown in the teaser, Battlefront II may bring new vehicles and spaceships that appeared in the Clone Wars era and The Force Awakens, as a part of EA’s promise to expand Battlefront beyond the Original Trilogy.
Star Wars: Battlefront II is slated to have a Q3 2017 release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One – which may coincide with the promo of upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Here’s the leaked teaser posted on Vimeo:
