Since Days Gone was revealed at E3 last year, we haven’t heard too much about the upcoming open-world zombie game from Sony, let alone gotten a release date. That may be about to change though as an Austrian online retailer, GamesOnly, has put up a listing for Days Gone which included a release date.
If the listing is true, Days Gone will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4 on August 22nd, 2017. This could check out though, as August 22nd is a Tuesday, which is when most games launch in North America. Not only that, but it is likely that Sony will release Days Gone worldwide at the same time, meaning that a Tuesday launch day is definitely plausible.
Of course, this isn’t official confirmation of a Days Gone release date, although several retailers have continued to hint at release dates for a number of games recently, including Red Dead Redemption 2.
When retailers don’t know when a game will launch, they typically give them a placeholder date or none at all. Most placeholder dates tend to show the end of the year, so it’s interesting that this retailer has gone for a specific date.
