Firewatch Sales Surpass 1 Million Copies Sold

Sales of Campo Santo’s Firewatch have surpassed one million copies, the developer has announced.

Campo Santo revealed the news in a tweet on Twitter, stating that sometime last year the studio sold their millionth copy, although we don’t know when exactly sales of Firewatch surpassed one million.

Firewatch is a first-person adventure game which sees players take control of Henry, who is a fire lookout in Shoshone National Forest and focuses on the relationship between him and the voice on his radio as he is called to investigate mysterious and strange events.

The game launched to positive reviews and was generally well received, although Firewatch did come in for some criticism due to its rather short story and the cost of the game, with some gamers feeling that the price didn’t warrant the amount of content, or lack thereof, that was available.

Firewatch released on PS4 and Steam in February last year before arriving on Xbox One in September.
