Star Citizen’s Star Marine Now Available In Early Access

Star Citizen, the biggest and most successful kickstarter of all time, has released Star Marine in early access on PC.

News of this release was in the patch notes for patch 2.6.0 which has now been released for the patch test realms of Star Citizen. In this early build for Star Marine, 2 maps are included called Station Demien and Echo Eleven. Star Marine comes with 2 typical FPS shooter modes: Elimination, which is your standard deathmatch, and Last Stand, which is a conquest style mode where your team fights for 4 key control points.

Also included in the patch notes are a new horde mode included for Arena Commander which is called Pirate Swarm. Increasing numbers of NPC waves will converge on your position, with more NPCs added depending on how many players are in your party. For the main game, Star Citizen, the new patch includes a new mission for the crusader settlement and a new bleeding mechanic which drains your HP if any of your limbs fall below 10% health.
