Assassin’s Creed Syndicate delayed on PC

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has been delayed on PC, Ubisoft has announced.

Syndicate is still on course to launch on October 23 worldwide on Xbox One and PS4 however. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PC is being developed by Ubisoft Kiev whereas the development of the console versions are being handled by a different studio.

The PC version of the game will now release nearly a month later on November 19. The reason for the delay is to help ensure a smooth launch for PC players, allowing the developers to polish and optimize the PC version to avoid the issues which surrounded Unity last year. Ubisoft Kiev are dedicated to ensure that PC players will get the most stable and optimized version of the game come day one.

Sam Kovalev, Studio Production Manager at Ubisoft Kiev stated, “We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project,” says Kovalev. “This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year.”

No excuses this time then Ubisoft.
