Nintendo Switch Price May Have Just Been Leaked, Will Retail at £199.99

It looks like that the Nintendo Switch will launch with a retail price of £199.99 in the UK, several sources have revealed today.

The price of Nintendo’s new console has been kept quiet by Nintendo, but it looks like it has finally slipped out. Several sources revealed to Let’s Play Video Games that UK retailer GAME were preparing to retail the console at £199.99 for the base model. They also add that another model will be made available for £249.99 which will come with increased storage as well as a free game being bundled in.

The sources also told LPVG that GAME will be selling additional Switch Pro Controllers for £39.99 each.

That hasn’t been the only source to report on the potential price though, as a listing appeared briefly over the weekend on Canada’s ToysRUs website which listed a price of $329.99 CAD for the Nintendo Switch. That equals £200 when converted which is right inline with what GAME are said to be selling the Switch for next year.

Nintendo are also said to be planning on making the Switch region free and are therefore aiming for the price of the console to be a direct conversion across all regions. If this is the case, then it looks like the Nintendo Switch will be available in the US for $249.99 and $299.99 respectively, depending on what model you go for.

Nintendo will be revealing more information about the switch on January 13th, so expect some more concrete news around then.
