WildStar Free-To-Play Beta Goes Live… Today

About two months ago NC Soft and Carbine announced that their critically praised MMO, WildStar, will go free-to-play in the near future. It seems that this is the future then because the closed beta for WildStar free-to-play just went live today.

Players who want to participate in the beta can register on WildStar’s official website, however only players who already have a valid account can play at this time. More beta keys will be given out at a later date, so you’ll have to wait a bit more if you don’t already have an account.

The beta doesn’t come without a few warnings, of course. The devs warn players that since this is a beta environment and since both NA and EU players will be able to play on the same server (YAAY?), player might experience connectivity problems, the servers “may suddenly go offline with little-to-no warning”, character wipes are bound to happen and no Customer Support will be provided.

WildStar is expected to go free-to-play sometime this fall. In the mean time, enjoy this little teaser:
